Funeral arrangements have been announced for the Crystal Lake sailor killed in the mass shooting in a Colorado movie theater last week.
A public visitation is set for 3 to 9 p.m. Friday at Davenport Funeral Home, at 419 E. Terra Cotta Ave., in the far northwest suburb.
Larimer threw himself onto his girlfriend to shield her from gunfire, Julia Vojtsek to save her when a gunman burst into the Aurora, Colo. movie theater Friday.
Larimer joined the U.S. Navy eight years after graduating from Crystal Lake South High School and was stationed in Colorado.
The funeral and burial will be private.
