Good Sport: Fan Who Got Indians World Series Champs Tattoo Ahead of Cubs Victory Has Message for Cleveland Team

One Indians fan was perhaps a little overconfident in the team he was rooting for—but after Cleveland fell to the Cubs in the 10th inning, he responded gracefully.

Twitter user @MikeNeero tweeted ahead of the decisive game a photo of a “2016 Champs” Cleveland Indians tattoo on, presumably, his arm.

“Some call it bold, but I call it faith in Kluber,” he tweeted.

About six hours later—after the Cubs felled in the Indians in the 10th inning after a nail-biting rain delay, securing their first World Series title since 1908, the bold Twitter user had a playful and positive follow-up to the inaccurate ink he put on full display.

“Next year.”

Tattooed or not, that’s a phrase Cubs fans can surely sympathize with.
