Second Cop Charged With Sexual Assault Posts Bond

The second of two police officers accused in the alleged sexual assault of a woman in March walked out of the Cook County Jail on Friday evening.

Paul Clavijo, 38, ignored reporters' questions as he walked out of the facility at 26th and California and to a waiting car. 

He wore a gray Illinois sweatshirt and was flanked by his brother and sheriff's deputies.

Clavijo is charged with two counts of criminal sexual assault and two counts of official misconduct.

Another officer, Juan Vasquez, is charged with a single count each of criminal sexual assault and official misconduct.  He bonded out of jail Thursday.

Both are accused of sexually assaulting a woman in a marked police SUV and in her north side apartment in late March.

They were ordered held on $500,000 bond during their court appeance Thursday
.  The charges were filed a day earlier.
