Person Questioned in Restaurant Shooting: Sources

Two killed, five injured in Tuesday evening shooting spree

UPDATE: First-degree murder charges filed

One person was being questioned Wednesday night in connection with a shooting a night earlier at a Church's Fried Chicken restaurant on the city's south side, sources said.

Seven people were hit when bullets started flying at around 7 p.m. Tuesday at the restaurant at South Halsted and West 66th Streets.

Two teens -- Dantril Brown, 17, and Jawan Ross, 16, -- were killed. Five others, ranging in age from 15 to 58, were also injured.

A police source said Thursday the investigation is focused on two suspects. A 23-year-old was being questioned, and the other person is still on the run, according to the source. Chicago Police would not confirmed the details.
