Teen rapper Chief Keef is the subject of a child-support lawsuit from a teen girl who alleges he fathered a 14-month-old child with her.
Under his real name of Keith Cozart, Keef is the defendant in a Cook County Circuit Court suit seeking "an appropriate amount of child support," day care expenses, health insurance, out-of-pocket medical expenses, "retroactive" child support and fees for the lawyer hired by the child’s mother.
"Keith earns a substantial income," according to the suit filed Dec. 11. "Keith is a well-known musical artist."
A representative for the rapper did not return calls seeking comment Monday.
The 17-year-old Keef recently released his much-anticipated debut album, titled "Finally Rich," but he has become more widely known in recent months for his misadventures outside the recording studio.
On Thursday, a Cook County judge sentenced a tearful Keef to 60 days in juvenile detention for violating probation on a gun conviction when he wielded a firearm in a music video.
Keef gained notoriety last year for a gloating tweet sent from his account after the slaying of a rival Chicago rapper.

According to the child-support suit, Keef signed a document acknowledging he is the father of a girl born in November 2011 to a girl who is now 17.
"It’s been filed and it’s been served," the girl’s lawyer, George M. Sanders, said of the suit Monday. "We are proceeding with the case at this point."
