The city has officially chosen Chicago's 2018 Christmas tree.
The newly chosen 60-foot Norway Spruce from Elmhurst, marks Chicago's 105th tree, according to a press release Tuesday.
The Christmas tree, donated by Deborah Orth and her family, was selected out of a total of 79 submissions, the statement read.
The tree is scheduled to be delivered to Millennium Park at 7 p.m. on Nov. 2.
The Orth family will join Santa Claus and other guests at the annual Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremony on Nov. 16, where they will personally light the tree around 6:30 p.m.
The event begins at 6 p.m. and is free to the public.

City officials originally said they would make the annoncement early November as the tree submission deadline was set for Oct. 19.
Submission requirements included a limit of being at least 55 feet or taller, a spruce or fir (pine trees are ineligible), and had to be located less than 100 miles from the city's Loop.
