Chicago White Sox Trade Xavier Cedeno to Milwaukee

Cedeno has a 2.84 ERA in 33 appearances this season

The Milwaukee Brewers bolstered their bullpen before Friday's waiver trade deadline, acquiring pitcher Xavier Cedeno from the Chicago White Sox

Cedeno has a 2.84 ERA and registered a save in 33 appearances with the Sox this season. The 32-year-old has three career saves and a 3.81 ERA in 234 appearances with the Astros, Nationals, Rays, and White Sox. 

In exchange, the White Sox received outfielder Bryan Connell and pitcher Johan Dominguez. 

Connell has a .239 batting average and seven home runs in 183 plate appearances in two different rookie leagues this season. Dominguez has a 0.82 ERA and 36 strikeouts in 33 innings with three different rookie league teams on the campaign. 

The White Sox announced that they have called up right-handed pitcher Ian Hamilton from Class-AAA Charlotte to replace Cedeno on the active roster. Hamilton has a 1.71 ERA in 22 games with the Knights this season.
