Two teenage boys died and another suffered injuries after being shot in the Humboldt Park neighborhood.
The incident happened just before 1 p.m. Thursday in the 600 block of North Avers Avenue, said police News Affairs Officer Daniel O'Brien.
The injured boy was taken to John H. Stroger Jr. Hospital of Cook County. His condition was not identified, police said.
Area north detectives are investigating. Police had not reported any arrests in the case Thursday evening.
