A man is dead and at least four others have been wounded in shootings across Chicago Saturday.
Just before 3:30 p.m. in the 1200 block of North Ada, two men were sitting in a car when another vehicle pulled up alongside them, and an occupant inside opened fire, police said.
One of the men was taken to Illinois Masonic Hospital with multiple gunshot wounds, and he was pronounced dead. Another man was taken to Stroger Hospital, where he is listed in stable condition.
Police say that there are no suspects in custody, and the investigation is ongoing.
Here are the rest of Saturday’s shootings:
- A 20-year-old man was driving in the 1600 block of East 75th Street when a person in a passing grey sedan fired shots at him, striking him in the leg. He was taken to the University of Chicago Hospital, where he was listed in good condition.
- At 1:20 p.m., a 25-year-old man was sitting in a vehicle in the 8100 block of South Whipple when a person opened fire, striking him in the left hand. He was taken to Christ Hospital, where he is listed in good condition.
- A 29-year-old man was shot in the left buttocks in the 3700 block of West Ohio at approximately 6:40 p.m., police said. The man was taken to Norwegian Hospital, where he is listed in good condition.
