Wind Chill Advisory in Effect as Temperatures Plummet

A Wind Chill Advisory has been issued for multiple counties, as arctic air brings frigid temperatures to the Chicago area following two rounds of weekend snowfall. [[369982901, C]]

The advisory went into effect beginning at 6 a.m. Sunday and will remain through 10 a.m. Monday. The Chicago area could see up to 25 mph winds by Sunday evening and highs in the single digits once again.

Wind chill values could be as low as -15 to -25 degrees by Sunday afternoon, making for a brutal and possibly historically cold Bears game at Soldier Field. Temperatures will continue to drop through the evening, with wind chill values reaching even -35 in the far northwest suburbs and near the Wisconsin border around 6 p.m.

Highs are set to gradually warm throughout next week, with temperatures returning to the 30s by Wednesday.
