Minor Derailment Halts CTA Blue Line Service on Forest Park Branch

An inbound train came off the tracks near the Pulaski station at about 7:15 a.m.

A minor derailment on Wednesday morning suspended service on the Forest Park branch of the Chicago Transit Authority's Blue Line. Service returned to normal by 9:20 a.m.

An inbound train came off the tracks near the Pulaski station at about 7:15 a.m., a Chicago Fire Department spokesperson told NBC Chicago.

Service was halted between Cicero and Western, but trains were operating in two sections: between Forest Park and Cicero and between Western and O'Hare.

CTA officials advised riders to use the No. 7 Harrison or No. 53 Pulaski buses for connecting service to the Green Line.
