No one was injured in the derailment

Some trains on the Chicago Transit Authority's Blue Line were delayed early Tuesday after a piece of equipment derailed on the city's west side.

A piece of equipment that was running along the O’Hare International Airport-bound tracks derailed about 3:30 a.m. near the Cicero station, according to CTA spokeswoman Lambrini Lukidis.

Shuttle buses were available for passengers between the Austin and Pulaski stations, Lukidis said.

Trains were on the move again about 5:20 a.m., but experiencing residual delays throughout the morning commute, according to the CTA.
