Chicago Set for a Snowy Super Bowl Sunday

As morning flurries fall across the Chicago area Sunday, an even stronger snowfall is exptected to hit Chicago during the evening hours and into Monday morning.

NBC Chicago's Cheryl Scott said the quick winter storm could produce several inches of snowfall in the Chicago area and is expected to continue until late Monday morning.

Commuters should plan ahead as traffic conditions could get slushy, Scott said.

The snow is expected to return again Monday night and continue through Tuesday.

Last week's warm temps brought Chicago to a near-record for January after it hit 59 degrees, but this weeks flurried forecast could bring Chicago back to typical winter weather.
