Separate Shootings Leave Four Dead

Multiple gunshots in Chicago Friday night left four dead and three injured in the hospital.

A 31-year-old man was killed when two armed men entered his far South Side home and tried to rob everyone in the basement, police said, according to the Chicago Sun Times.

Cordney Jackson was shot in the chest when he confronted one of the armed robbers, police said.

Another two victims were at a house party on the West Side Friday night and were shot when a fight broke out, leaving one dead and the other injured.

Timothy McCampbell, 19, suffered a gunshot wound to the right shoulder and was pronounced dead at the hospital. The other male, 22, was shot in the leg and also taken to an area hospital. His condition is unknown, said Police News Affairs Officer Robert Perez, according to the Chicago Tribune.

Daniel Crockett, 18, was shot and killed outside his home in the West Side North Lawndale neighborhood and a 13-year-old boy was hospitalized after being shot in the knee, reported the Sun Times.

Another man, Kevin Simms, 18, was found dead after being shot several times on a West Side sidewalk Friday evening, police said, according to the Trib.

Early Saturday, a woman was shot in the face during a drive-by in the Garfield Park neighborhood.  She was reported to be in fair condition at Mount Sinai Hospital.
