Felon Shoots Brother During Fight Over Gun: Police

Teen upgraded to good condition Friday

A man with two felony convictions for firearm violations accidentally shot his brother during a fight over a gun Thursday, police said.

The wounded 15-year-old was seriously injured and taken to University of Chicago Comer Children's Hospital. His condition was upgraded to good on Friday, officials said, according to the Chicago Tribune.

The teen was playing with the gun when his brother, Patrick Robinson, tried to take it away from him. The gun fired and a bullet his the teen in the back of the hand.

Robinson has two felony convictions for firearm violations, police said, according to the Tribune.
