25 Chicago Restaurants Win Michelin Stars

Twenty-five Chicago restaurants won coveted Michelin stars when the prestigious awards were announced Thursday.

Chicago now has one restaurant with three stars, three restaurants with two stars, 21 restaurants with one star and 54 restaurants with a Bib Gourmand which are awarded to restaurants that earn the attention of inspectors for offering good quality food at a good value, according to the 2020 Michelin Guide.

Five of the restaurants earning the honor were newcomers to the list this year: Omakase Yume, Kikkō, Mako and Yūgen - all Japanese spots in the city's West Loop neighborhood - as well as Next in Fulton Market. All five of the first-time award winners earned one star each. [[512643771, C]]
