Ald. Scott Waguespak (32nd) said Monday that he still hasn't decided whether or not he'll throw his hat in the running for Chicago mayor next February.
While he has no concrete plans, he is listening to concerns and said it's time "for a new mayor and new ideas."
He said Monday that if the city "hadn't wasted money on corruption, there would be money to hire more police officers." Waguespak estimates that as many as 1,000 more police officers are needed on the streets.
