Chicago Man Charged With 2 CTA Muggings

Police say he had a stolen phone at the time of his arrest

An 18-year old Chicago man faces charges for two muggings on the CTA Red Line.

A CTA employee called police Saturday after seeing Kenneth Parron in a donut shop near the Belmont Red Line station, telling officers he recognized the man from pictures circulated after a mugging on the Red Line two months ago.

Police say Parron admitted to one crime, and had the stolen cell phone from a second mugging when he was arrested.
