Chicago Eatery Named Among 100 Best Outdoor Dining Spots in America

Chicago’s Homestead on the Roof has been named one of the best places in the country to enjoy dining outdoors.

After analyzing more than 5 million reviews from diners across the nation, the rustic West Town restaurant was voted to OpenTable’s “100 Best Al Fresco Dining Restaurants in America.”

With an 80-seat outdoor rooftop that sits beside a 1,000 square-foot organic garden and surrounded by hanging gardens and dozens of planters filled with fresh growing vegetables, Homestead gives farm-to-table food a whole new meaning.

Homestead’s roof is found at the top of Roots Homemade Pizza at 1924 W. Chicago Ave., but offers a completely different experience than its counterpart.

Winos will love their list of small-production wines and craft beer fans can enjoy a weekly rotating craft brewery.

A menu of farm-fresh seasonal fare changes weekly to pair with artisan bread and hand-crafted cocktails from chefs that OpenTable says are “constantly pushing the envelope.”
