Man Hospitalized After Home Invasion

Chicago police on Friday morning were looking for two men involved in a home invasion that sent one victim to an area hospital.

The victim, 24, was inside an apartment in the 300 block of North Lockwood Avenue in the city's Austin neighborhood shortly after 11 p.m. Thursday when two people wearing dark hooded sweatshirts barged in, police spokesman Ronald Gaines said.

One of the attackers shot the man in the leg before they left the apartment and ran away, Gaines said.

The victim was taken to Mount Sinai Hospital, where he was listed in stable condition.
