Chicago Gas Prices on the Slide

Month-to-month gas prices in the Chicago area are down for the first time since October

Month-to-month gas prices in the Chicago area are down for the first time since October 2010, according to reports from AAA Chicago Motor Club.

More good news: Analysts predict the trend to continue through the summer.
 
The average gas price in Cook County is down 22 cents from last month, according to the Chicago Sun-Times, but at $4.28, it is more than $1 higher than last year.

Still, experts predict prices could fall to $3.50 per gallon by October.
