Over 700 Flights Canceled at Chicago Airports

Nearly 600 flights have been canceled at O'Hare

Over 700 flights have been canceled at Chicago’s airports as a wintry blast of weather begins to hit the region.

According to the Chicago Department of Aviation, a total of 597 flights have been canceled at O’Hare International Airport as of 5 p.m. Saturday. Another 135 flights have been canceled at Midway, according to the department.

Snowy weather is expected to move into the Chicago-area throughout the day Saturday, with rain transitioning into snow during the afternoon and evening hours. A total of 3 to 8 inches of snow could fall in some locations, and hazardous travel conditions could become a concern as the day moves along.
