‘Chicago Fire' Looking to Cast Real Firefighters

The popular NBC show “Chicago Fire” has gained popularity for the way it depicts the personal and professional lives of the Windy City’s finest, but now they’re looking for real firefighters to appear in an episode of the show.

According to the casting website “Backstage,” producers of the show are looking for real Chicago firefighters to appear in an episode that will be filmed on Monday, Aug. 7. All firefighters age 18 and up are eligible to apply for the role, according to the site.

Firefighters that are selected to appear in the episode will receive $185 for eight hours of work on that date, the listing says.

The popular TV show, which stars Jesse Spencer and Taylor Kinney, is currently filming its sixth season, which is scheduled to premiere on Sept. 28.
