A new Chicago restaurant is being praised as one of the best new restaurants in America, according to a new report.
Eater dubbed the best new restaurants in the U.S. for 2017, naming West Loop newbie Elske to the list.
Described as a combination of “Nordic austerity” paired with “Midwestern warmth,” the Randolph Street eatery was noted for its “thrilling highs and lows.”
The list named restaurants that opened between May 2016 and May 2017 using heatmaps from Eater’s site as a guide.
Also named to the list were Felix Trattoria in Los Angeles, The Grill in New York City, Himitsu in Washington D.C., In Situ in San Francisco, J.C. Holdway in Knoxville, JuneBaby in Seattle, Kemuri Tatsu-ya in Austin, Turkey and the Wolf in New Orleans, Vicia in St. Louis, Xochi in Houston and Young Joni in Minneapolis.
