Chicago Cubs Players Parade Through Disney's Magic Kingdom

What do you do after bringing Chicago its first Cubs World Series championship in 108 years? You go to Disney World.

While some of their teammates took the stage across the country for a cameo on "Saturday Night Live," Ben Zobrist, Addison Russell and Javier Baez all headed to the "happiest place on Earth" in Orlando, Florida, following the historic parade and rally on Friday that drew an estimated 5 million fans to Chicago.

All three players took part in a different kind of champions' parade on Saturday, riding alongside Mickey Mouse and Goofy (in baseball uniforms, of course) through Walt Disney World’s Magic Kingdom. The procession began at Liberty Square and headed down Main Street toward Cinderella's Castle, while countless fans waved ‘W’ flags to celebrate the team’s victory.

"I can’t believe how many (Cubs fans) there were at the parade. It’s just unbelievable," World Series MVP Zobrist said in a release. "It’s an amazing following of people right here at Disney World."

Baez wholeheartedly agreed, chiming in on Twitter that Disney was "full of Cubs fans" and posting a video of the parade. [[400178861, C]]

The players brought their families along for the celebration, and seized the opportunity to ride some of the park’s attractions, like Dumbo the Flying Elephant.

Fittingly, the last World Series that was celebrated at Disney Parks was the Boston Red Sox’s 2004 victory, when they broke an 86-year championship drought under the watchful eye of none other than Theo Epstein.
