Former Chicago Cubs catcher Miguel Montero has “pretty much retired” from baseball, but it sounds like he’ll still be around the game in the future.

In a new profile written by Nick Piecoro of the Arizona Republic, Montero revealed that he has started a sports management agency, and he will hope to hone his craft as an agent for a new group of players.

“I see a lot of guys who have been successful doing this, and these guys are not that special,” Montero said. “So if these guys did it, why can’t we do it too?”

Montero and his brother-in-law started ZT Sports, a company that represents a total of 17 players, according to the newspaper.

Montero’s career in Chicago ended in rough fashion after a public feud with the team resulted in him being released. He did get two of the most memorable hits in Cubs history however, hitting a grand slam in the 2016 NLCS and hitting an RBI single that drove in what was ultimately the winning run in Game 7 of the 2017 World Series.
