Chicago White Sox pitcher Lucas Giolito has been great this season, but the Cubs have been his kryptonite, as they touched him up for six runs in a victory on the South Side Saturday night.
Kyle Schwarber and Javier Báez each drove in a pair of runs for the Cubs, who won their second straight game against the White Sox. Kris Bryant and Anthony Rizzo each picked up a pair of hits and drove in a run apiece in the victory.
Jon Lester gave up one earned run in 6.1 innings of work, striking out three batters and scattering six hits in the game.
For the White Sox, José Abreu knocked in a pair of runs, and Yoan Moncada ripped a pair of doubles, but it wasn't enough as the South Siders dropped the game.
The Cubs didn't waste any time in the game, scoring a run in the first inning. Thanks to some great baserunning by Báez, Bryant was able to drive in a run in the opening frame, putting the Cubs ahead 1-0.
The White Sox tied things up in the third, with Abreu serving an RBI single into left field to score Moncada and knot up the contest.
Giolito's command completely abandoned him in the fifth inning, as he walked the bases loaded with nobody out. On an odd cueball shot down the line, Schwarber drove in two runs with a double, and then Báez followed suit with a double of his own to score two more.

Rizzo finished the scoring with a single to right field, scoring Báez and giving the Cubs a 6-1 advantage.
The White Sox did scratch out two unearned runs in the seventh, with Moncada and Abreu each registering RBIs, but it wasn't enough as the White Sox fell.
The two teams will play one last time on Sunday afternoon, with both clubs set for the MLB All-Star break after the game.
