Cubs Lose Wild Card Game to Rockies in Extra Inning Thriller

The Chicago Cubs lost in extra innings to the Colorado Rockies, ending their season and opening up a Pandora's box of questions about the future of the franchise.

The Cubs tied things up in the eighth inning, but after a Tony Wolters single off of Kyle Hendricks in the 13th inning, they couldn't pull back even and have been eliminated from the postseason.

The Rockies will now move on and battle the Milwaukee Brewers in the National League Division Series.

The Rockies got on the board in the first inning with a sacrifice fly from Nolan Arenado, but were unable to score again until the 13th inning, when Wolters singled to drive in the go-ahead run to make it a 2-1 game.

The Cubs had a chance to tie it in the 13th, but when Albert Almora Jr. struck out, the Cubs were eliminated from the postseason, and the Rockies were heading to Milwaukee.
