Most big league players use their precious days off to rest and relax during the grind of a baseball season.

Chicago Cubs catcher Willson Contreras isn’t most players.

As the team prepares to head to St. Louis for a three-game series against the hated Cardinals, Contreras went to a local courthouse and got married:

“We finally did it,” Contreras said. “I thank God for putting this beautiful woman on my way and that today I can call her my wife!”

Contreras, who has a home run and seven RBI this season, is one of several Cubs who have found love in recent years. Pitcher Kyle Hendricks got married last offseason, as did third baseman Kris Bryant, and first baseman Anthony Rizzo is currently engaged.

Shortstop Javier Baez is also engaged, and his fiancée is pregnant with the couple’s child.
