After yet another rough outing, Chicago Cubs pitcher Brian Duensing has been put back on the disabled list.

Duensing, who has put up a 7.34 ERA this season in 43 games, was placed on the D.L. with inflammation in his pitching shoulder, according to the team.

The reliever has given up at least an earned run in four of his last five appearances, including two earned runs in a 6-1 loss to the San Diego Padres on Thursday night.

With the extra roster spot, the Cubs recalled pitcher Randy Rosario, who had been optioned to Iowa to make room for Brian Kintzler after Tuesday's trade deadline.

Rosario has a 4-0 record and has struck out 19 batters in 32 innings with the Cubs this season, posting a 1.97 ERA in those outings.
