Cubs, White Sox Release 2019 Schedules

The Chicago Cubs and Chicago White Sox both unveiled their 2019 schedules on Wednesday, and both teams will open the new campaign on the road.

The Chicago Cubs will open their season at an American League park for the second time in team history, visiting the Texas Rangers as part of a nine-game road trip to begin the year. They will also travel to Atlanta and Milwaukee as part of the trip, which will carry them all the way into the second week in April.

The Cubs’ home opener is slated for April 8 against the Pittsburgh Pirates. Here is their full schedule: 

According to the tentative schedule, which will be finalized later this year, the Cubs will welcome the American League West to Wrigley Field next season, with the Seattle Mariners, Oakland A’s, and Los Angeles Angels set to visit the Friendly Confines.

The Cubs will play the White Sox at Wrigley on June 18 and 19.

The Chicago White Sox will open the 2019 season at Kansas City as part of a five game road trip beginning March 28. The team will then host its home opener on April 4 when they welcome the Seattle Mariners to Guaranteed Rate Field.

The team’s schedule features contests against the National League East, with the New York Mets, Washington Nationals, and Miami Marlins all set to visit Chicago next season. The Cubs will also make a trip to the South Side to play the White Sox, playing at Guaranteed Rate Field on July 6 and 7.
