Chicago Cubs Lead Shrinks as Cardinals Win

The Chicago Cubs opened the door for the Milwaukee Brewers on Saturday afternoon, losing 2-1 to the St. Louis Cardinals at Wrigley Field.

The loss drops the Cubs' lead in the Central Division to half a game, and could allow the Brewers to pull even in the race with a win on Saturday night over the Detroit Tigers.

Milos Mikolas pitched eight innings and allowed just one unearned run against the Cubs. Cole Hamels allowed two runs, one earned, in the losing effort.
