Go to There: Child Care Expo May 21

In the recent economy, child care businesses have suffered, but no parent is planning to cut corners to that part budget. As a result, child care centers are still one of the fastest-growing franchises in the nation.

If you’re thinking of opening a child care business, you might want to check out the Child Care Business Expo. The one-day seminar provides business support to women who are building child care enterprises, creating their own path, contributing to their communities, and striving to lead both professionally and personally. The Expo helps attendees better understand the business elements of child care—whether you are in the early stages or if you are a veteran entrepreneur in need of inspiration, redirection or just connection with others in the same boat.

The Thirteenth Annual Child Care Business Expo will teach how to deal with current business issues, and intends to provide a support network for those in the business. Highlights of the Expo include the annual Child Care Applause Awards Breakfast, sponsored by Southwest Airlines and honoring exemplary child care providers and activists in the child care community; a variety of panel discussions and workshops including workshops and an exhibition area with over 50 booths featuring insurance vendors, bankers, child care associations, state regulatory agencies for the industry, and toy and curriculum vendors.

The Expo will be held at the Chicago Hilton and Towers, 720 S. Michigan Avenue in Chicago, on Saturday, May 21, 8:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. Cost is $55. Visit here for more information.
