Joakim Noah: ‘We're Going to Win Game 7'

The Bulls center was fired up after Chicago's 95-92 loss in Game 6.

If you think the Chicago Bulls are dejected after losing Game 6 at home on Thursday night, think again. Of course the Bulls would like to be moving on to round two, but there is unfinished business to take care of and one member of the team is ready to go; even going so far as to make a bold prediction in advance of Saturday night’s Game 7.

“I’m ready to play. I’m ready to play right now. That’s my emotions,” Joakim Noah said in the locker room after Thursday night’s 95-92 loss. “We’re a team of fighters. We keep getting punched in the face, but we fight back. I’m proud of this team and we’re going to go into a hostile environment in Brooklyn, and we’re going to win.”

Perhaps Joakim heard a couple of the Nets in the hallway outside of the visitor's locker room screaming, “I need a tan!” in reference to having to travel to Miami for Game 1 in the second round of the NBA Playoffs. But whatever the reason, the emotional leader of the team sure is fired up and is up for the challenge that comes with being in a “win or go home” situation.

“It’s going to take just all of us sticking together through all kinds of adversity. This has been a hard year—it’s been a real hard year—but I’m really proud of this team. We’re a team of fighters and tonight was disappointing. We wanted to close it out, get ready for the next series, but we’re playing against a very talented group. But we think we’re capable. I’m ready. I’m ready. I want to play right now. I’m just ready to kick some [expletive].”
