Nothing gets Bulls fans more excited than a showdown with the Miami Heat. On Thursday night, LeBron James, Dwyane Wade and the Eastern Conference-leading Heat will make their first visit to the United Center this season.

The Heat are coming off a blowout victory over the Atlanta Hawks Wednesday which stretches their current win streak to eight games and the team has won nine of their last 10 contests.

The Bulls are coming off an impressive showing against New Orleans on Tuesday, but the only thing the Hornets have in common with the Heat is they both begin with the letter "H." Chicago will have its hands full at home, but Bulls/Heat games are typically close contests and enjoyable games to watch.

Chicago comes in relatively healthy and won’t have to worry about playing shorthanded like they did late in the first half of the season, while the Heat seem to be finding their groove, led by James who is on his way to having one of the most historic seasons in NBA history.

In their last meeting on Jan. 4, the Bulls came away with a 96-89 road victory as Carlos Boozer had a tremendous game with 27 points and 12 rebounds. Miami has gone 15-4 since while the Bulls have gone 13-9.

A win would help the Bulls gain ground on the Brooklyn Nets who took over fourth place in the East from the Bulls whose slide in early February moved them down one notch, to fifth place in the Eastern Conference standings.

Tip-off is at 7 p.m. CT and will be televised live on TNT.
