Chicago's full television schedule for the upcoming season was released on Monday

On Monday, the Chicago Bulls released the television schedule for the upcoming 2013-14 NBA season. Comcast SportsNet and WGN-TV/WCIU will oversee all local television duties, and all 82 regular season games will be televised, as well as the team’s entire eight game preseason schedule.

Comcast SportsNet will televise 42 regular season games, with its first regular season broadcast scheduled for Nov. 6, when the Bulls travel to Indiana to take on the Pacers. The network will also broadcast six of Chicago’s eight preseason contests.

WGN will broadcast 23 regular season games, with 15 of those contests slated to air nationally on WGN America. Chicago’s first regular season contest on WGN is set for Nov. 2, when the Bulls travel to Philadelphia to take on the 76ers. WGN will also broadcast two preseason games, including Chicago’s preseason opener on Oct. 5 at Indiana. WCIU fills out the Bulls’ local television schedule with six regular season games.

Complimenting Chicago’s local television schedule, the Bulls’ will have 46 nationally-televised games. Chicago’s first two games of the season will air on TNT, beginning with their season opener on Oct. 29 against the Miami Heat on the road. Two nights later, the Bulls will again play on TNT when they host the New York Knicks in their home opener.

On the year, Chicago will play on ESPN 10 times, TNT nine times, on NBA-TV nine times and on ABC five times. And Bulls fans can rejoice because for the sixth straight season, Bulls TV play-by-play man Neil Funk and analyst Stacey King will provide the call for every local telecast.

“Once again we are very pleased that Bulls fans in the Chicago area will have the ability to watch every Bulls game on television,” said Bulls Executive Vice President of Business Operations Steve Schanwald in a press release. “Our arena seats just under 21,000 fans and, while watching the game on TV can’t replicate the atmosphere of actually being there, these telecasts are the next best thing and they play a very important role in satisfying the demand of millions of Bulls fans for access to their favorite basketball team. We are especially pleased to note that 46 of our games will be televised nationally, so that all our fans outside the Chicago area will be able to follow us all season long as well.”
