The Chicago Blackhawks have acquired forward Dominik Kubalik in a trade with the Los Angeles Kings.
Kubalik, who was drafted by the Kings in the seventh round of the 2013 NHL Draft, currently leads Switzerland’s National League in points with 43, and is in second place with 25 assists so far this season.
In exchange, the Blackhawks will send a fifth round draft pick in this year’s NHL Draft to the Kings. The pick originally belonged to the Arizona Coyotes, according to a press release.
Kubalik will finish the season with his Swiss club, according to the Blackhawks.
