The Chicago Blackhawks made a series of roster moves today, including sending 2018 draft pick Philipp Kurashev back to his junior team.
Kurashev, taken by the Blackhawks in the fourth round of the draft, was sent back to the QMJHL’s Quebec Ramparts on Wednesday. He has scored 40 goals and dished out 74 assists over the last two seasons, and will continue his junior career in the coming year.
The Blackhawks also sent goaltender Alexis Gravel to the Halifax Mooseheads, along with fellow 2018 draft pick Jake Ryczek.
Finally, the Blackhawks released forward Shaw Boomhower from his amateur tryout contract.
The moves bring the Blackhawks’ roster size down to 53 players, including 28 forwards, 19 defensemen, and six goaltenders.
