The Chicago Blackhawks made a pair of roster moves on Wednesday, placing two defensemen on waivers.
Jason Garrison, who was acquired from the Edmonton Oilers in a trade that sent Brandon Manning to the club, was placed on unconditional waivers by the team, paving the way for his release if he is not claimed.
Garrison is a free agent at season’s end, and is making $650,000 this season.

The Blackhawks have also placed defenseman Brandon Davidson on waivers. Davidson has not played since mid-November, and will likely be sent to the Rockford IceHogs if he clears waivers.
