The Chicago Blackhawks have added more depth to their roster, as they’ve re-signed winger Andreas Martinsen to a one-year contract.
Martinsen, who appeared in nine games for the Blackhawks last season, scored one goal and racked up 17 penalty minutes in those contests.
The winger made a big impact for the AHL’s Rockford IceHogs, scoring 12 goals and dishing out 16 assists in 64 minor league games. He also had a pair of goals and three assists as the IceHogs reached the Western Conference Final in the Calder Cup Playoffs.
