Chicago Bears Sign Ted Larsen to 1-Year Contract

The Bears will likely use Larsen as a depth offensive lineman this season

The new NFL league year officially began on Wednesday, and the Chicago Bears have made their first move, signing offensive lineman Ted Larsen to a one-year contract.

Larsen, who spent the 2016 season with the Bears and appeared in all 16 games, has played for the last two seasons with the Miami Dolphins under former Bears offensive coordinator Adam Gase.

Larsen will return to the Bears to help provide depth on the team’s offensive line, but likely won’t start as all five starters from last season remain under contract for the 2019 campaign.

The Bears have reportedly made several other moves in free agency, including signing wide receiver Cordarrelle Patterson and slot cornerback Buster Skrine, but those moves have yet to be made official by the team.
