Nick Foles Cashes in Thanks to Eagles' Win Over Bears

Foles and the Eagles upset the Bears to earn a berth in the NFC Divisional Round

Chicago Bears kicker Cody Parkey may have broken the hearts of thousands of fans when he missed a potential game-winning field goal on Sunday, but there is one Philadelphia Eagles player that was especially happy after the game.

That player was quarterback Nick Foles, who threw the go-ahead touchdown pass to Golden Tate in the fourth quarter of the game. Foles not only helped his team to a first round upset and a showdown with the New Orleans Saints next week, but he also pocketed some extra cash for the win.

According to multiple reports, Foles earned a total of $1 million when Parkey’s kick bounced off the upright and the crossbar. $500,000 of that money came by virtue of playing at least 33 percent of the team’s snaps in a playoff game, and the other $500,000 came because the Eagles won the game.

The Eagles will now head to New Orleans to take on the Saints next Sunday, while the Dallas Cowboys will head to Los Angeles to battle the Rams on Saturday.
