Mitchell Trubisky Named NFC Offensive Player of the Week

Trubisky threw for a career high 355 yards and three touchdowns in Sunday's win

Chicago Bears quarterback Mitchell Trubisky has turned a lot of heads with his recent play, and he was recognized as the NFC’s Offensive Player of the Week for his last game against the Detroit Lions.

Trubisky, who has helped lead the Bears to a 6-3 record and a first place spot in the NFC North, threw for 355 yards and three touchdowns in the Bears’ 34-22 victory over the Lions on Sunday. He also ran for a touchdown in the game, and posted a 148.6 passer rating in the contest.

According to a press release from the Bears, Trubisky now has four games this season with more than 300 passing yards, tied for the most by a Bears quarterback in a single season.

Trubisky is the first Bears player to win NFC Offensive Player of the Week since Jordan Howard captured the award in 2016.
