Vikings vs. Bears: Sims Out, Nichols Questionable

There weren’t many surprises on the Chicago Bears’ injury report on Friday, but one name stood out as the team prepares for its showdown with the Minnesota Vikings.

Defensive tackle Bilal Nichols, who has had a strong season for the Bears as their revamped defense has run roughshod over the NFL, was a limited participant in Friday’s workout with a knee issue, and has been listed as questionable for Sunday’s game.

Nichols had not appeared on the injury report prior to Friday, but was limited in practice Friday because the Bears were practicing on field turf at Halas Hall, according to head coach Matt Nagy.

Wide receiver Javon Wims, who was limited in his work on Thursday, was a full participant on Friday, and is listed as questionable for the game.

Tight end Dion Sims, who is still in the NFL’s concussion protocol, has been ruled out for the game, and Nagy said that he could potentially be placed on injured reserve, which would end his season.
