Vikings Vs. Bears: Sendejo Out, Barr Questionable for Sunday Showdown

Barr is one of the team's most dangerous linebackers

The Chicago Bears are preparing for a critical divisional matchup against the Minnesota Vikings, and their opponent will be missing at least two players for the showdown.

Safety Andrew Sendejo, who has been dealing with a groin injury all week long, missed practice on Friday, and has been ruled out for Sunday’s game. He has missed the Vikings’ last four games, and will likely be replaced by Jayron Kearse at the team’s strong safety position.

The Vikings have also ruled out tight end David Morgan, who missed three straight practices because of a knee injury. Morgan was taken out of the team’s game against the Detroit Lions in Week 9, and will not play against the Bears.

Linebacker Anthony Barr, who has missed the Vikings’ last two games with a hamstring injury, was one of three players listed as questionable on the team’s final injury report of the week. Barr has 19 tackles and two defended passes this season, and would be a big loss if he’s not able to suit up against a potent Bears offense.

Starting left guard Tom Compton, who has been limited this week by a knee injury, and starting right guard Mike Remmers, who has been dealing with a back problem, are also listed as questionable for the Vikings.

All indications are that the Vikings’ talented duo of wide receivers, Adam Thielen and Stefon Diggs, will both be on the field, as they did not appear on the team’s “game status” list for the contest Sunday.

The Bears and Vikings will take the field at Soldier Field at 7:20 p.m. Sunday night, with first place on the line in the NFC North.
