Chicago Bears Head Coach Matt Nagy Makes History With Win

The win was Nagy's 10th of his rookie season, making him just the second Bears coach to achieve that feat

It’s been quite a season for head coach Matt Nagy and the Chicago Bears, and his win over the Green Bay Packers did something more than just clinch the NFC North Division title.

Nagy, who became the Bears coach earlier this year, won his 10th game of the season on Sunday, beating the Packers 24-17 and punching the team’s ticket to the postseason for the first time since 2010.

That 10th win landed him in some incredibly elite company, as he became the first Bears rookie coach to win 10 games since George Halas did it all the way back in 1920 when the team played its first NFL season as the Decatur Staleys.

Halas went 10-1-2 that season, meaning that Nagy could set a new record if the Bears can win either of their last two games against the San Francisco 49’ers or Minnesota Vikings.
