Nagy Has Special Request for Bears Fans Ahead of Sunday

"Get ready to rock and roll," Nagy said Monday

Matt Nagy has a special request for Chicago Bears fans ahead of Sunday's playoff opener.

As the Bears prepare to host an NFC Wild Card Round game against the Philadelphia Eagles at Soldier Field, the team's head coach is asking fans to "be as crazy as they have ever been."

"This is, like I said yesterday, this is where it gets real, and it’s exciting to have one at home, and again, I’m going to just let everybody know here in Chicago how important it is to get those fans to be as crazy as they have ever been, and I can’t wait for it," Nagy said in a press conference Monday. "It’s going to be a fun day at Soldier Field and it’s my challenge to them and I know that they will accept it with open arms and get ready to rock and roll."

The Bears, who finished the season with a 12-4 record after beating the Minnesota Vikings, will welcome the reigning Super Bowl champions to the lakefront next week as they play in the wild card round for the first time in nearly 25 years.

The Eagles clinched their playoff spot by virtue of the Vikings' loss to the Bears and with a win over the Washington Redskins in their regular season finale.

The game will take place on Sunday, Jan. 6, 2019 at 3:40 p.m. on NBC.
