Kyle Long Misses Chicago Bears' Practice Thursday

Long did play in Week 1, but was out Thursday with an ankle issue

The h#mce_temp_url# emerged from Sunday’s loss to the Green Bay Packers relatively unscathed on the injury front, but a big name is now on the team’s first injury report of the week.

The Bears, who held their first workout of the week at Halas Hall on Thursday, did not have guard Kyle Long on the field, as he’s dealing with an ankle issue. Long did play in Sunday’s game, but dealt with ankle injuries last season, so the news is somewhat concerning for the team ahead of their next contest against the Seattle Seahawks.

Cornerback DeAndre Houston-Carson also missed practice due to the forearm and back injuries that kept him out of the Packers game.

Cornerback Bryce Callahan, a key fixture on the Bears’ defense in nickel situations, was limited in practice with a sore knee, and tight end Daniel Brown, who missed Sunday’s game with a shoulder injury, was a full participant in Thursday’s workout.

As for the Seahawks, their injury report is loaded with talented players, as wide receiver Doug Baldwin, safety Earl Thomas, and linebacker Bobby Wagner all missed their practice Thursday.

Lineman DJ Fluker, linebacker KJ Wright, and cornerback Tre Flowers were also out for Pete Carroll’s team.

Defensive end Dion Jordan and safety Bradley McDougald were limited in the team’s first workout.
