Kyle Long Sits Out Bears' Final Practice Before Showdown With Green Bay

Long missed the workout to rest before Sunday's game

The Chicago Bears released their final injury report ahead of their contest with the Green Bay Packers this weekend, and only one player will miss the team’s Sunday tilt, as DeAndre Houston-Carson has been ruled out.

Houston-Carson, who has not practiced all week as he deals with forearm and back issues, was ruled out by the team on Friday afternoon. Tight end Daniel Brown, who was a limited participant in practice as he recovers from a shoulder injury, was listed as doubtful for Sunday’s game, the Bears revealed.

The Bears also had right guard Kyle Long sit out during Friday’s practice at Halas Hall, but said that the veteran is not injured and was simply taking a day off from team workouts.

On the Packers’ side of the field, safety Josh Jones will miss Sunday’s game with an ankle injury that kept him out of practice throughout the week.

Linebackers Oren Burks (shoulder) and James Crawford (hamstring) are both listed as questionable for the game after being limited in practice throughout the week.

The Bears and Packers are set to kick off at 7:20 p.m. Sunday night on NBC 5.
