Things are rolling along for the Chicago Bears as they continue to seek out candidates for their head coaching vacancy.

On Thursday, the team announced that they had interviewed Minnesota Vikings defensive coordinator George Edwards for the position. Edwards, who led Minnesota to a strong performance in 2017, is one of two Vikings coordinators the Bears have requested interviews with, as they will reportedly interview offensive coordinator Pat Shurmur on Saturday.

The Vikings allowed the fewest yards per game in the NFL this season, allowing just 275.9 yards per contest. They also allowed a league-best 15.8 points per game, and rode that momentum to a first round bye in the NFC playoffs.

The Bears will also be looking for some new position coaches as well, as two former members of John Fox's coaching staff found new jobs on Thursday. Curtis Modkins, the team's running backs' coach in 2017, will now join the Denver Broncos in that same capacity, according to reports.

Jeremiah Washburn, the Bears' former offensive line coach, will join Dowell Loggains in Miami in that same role after the Bears' former offensive coordinator was hired by the Dolphins on Wednesday.
